(May 27, 2016)- Cape Coral Police Department Major Crash Investigator is investigating a serious injury crash this morning that sent two people to the hospital.
At around 8:00 AM, Cape Coral Police responded to a 2-vehicle crash at the intersection of Andalusia Boulevard and Tropicana Parkway. The drivers of both cars were sent to the hospital, one with life-threatening injuries.
The intersection was shut down for approximately 3 hours while Major Crash Investigators and Forensics personnel investigated. A Ping4 alert was sent to warn resident and drivers in the area.

VEHICLE 1: Silver 1990 Acura 2 door car.
DRIVER 1: Kristopher Allen Mock, W/M, 19, of Cape Coral, Florida.
DRIVER 1 INJURIES: Mock suffered minor injuries in the traffic crash.
VEHICLE 2: Silver 2004 BMW 4 door car.
DRIVER 2: Liliatne Meseguer, H/F, 20, of Cape Coral, Florida.
DRIVER 2 INJURIES: Meseguer suffered life-threatening injuries in the traffic crash.
SYNOPSIS: Vehicle 1 was southbound on Andalusia Boulevard in the inside lane. Vehicle 2 was stopped on Tropicana Parkway facing eastbound at the intersection of Andalusia Boulevard. Vehicle 2 was waiting to turn left (northbound) onto Andalusia Boulevard.
According to witnesses and evidence, Vehicle 1 was traveling southbound at a high rate of speed as Vehicle 2 began her left turn into the intersection. Vehicle 1 began to skid and the front of Vehicle 1 struck the driver’s side of Vehicle 2 (t-bone). All vehicles were redirected to the Southwest off the edge of the roadway.
The driver of Vehicle 1 suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The driver of Vehicle 2 suffered multiple life threatening injuries and was trauma alerted by ambulance to a local hospital. The driver of Vehicle 1 was treated for his injuries and released from the hospital shortly afterwards. The driver of Vehicle 2 is listed in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit.
MCI Officers Satterlee and D. Gray, Forensics personnel, and Victim Advocates responded. The next-of-kins HAVE BEEN contacted. This traffic crash IS NOT alcohol/drug related. A criminal investigation is ongoing.
