Cape Coral Police Take Down Meth Lab
(February 19, 2013)- Cape Coral Police Narcotics Detectives busted a meth lab Monday night at 1216 NE 16th Terrace. Janet A Raymond, 21, was arrested and charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine and Production of Methamphetamine.
Officers were called to the home Monday night for a report of a possible burglary in progress. Upon arrival, Officers discovered items indicative of a meth lab. Officers called in Narcotics Detectives who obtained a search warrant for the residence.
Detectives seized over 1 pound of meth and supplies for cooking the drug. Janet Raymond, who resides at the home, was arrested on trafficking and producing methamphetamines.
"Our Patrol Officers are trained to recognize the signs of a meth lab. Their experience and knowledge enabled them to discover this extremely dangerous operation while initially at the home for another matter. Fortunately we were able to dismantle this meth lab before something tragic happened in this neighborhood"-Lieutenant Tony Sizemore.
