(March 14, 2022) - The Cape Coral Police Department conducted a grant-funded DUI enforcement operation on March 11th, 2022, specifically targeting impaired driving. Funding was provided by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). This operation was conducted citywide and resulted in seventy-eight citations (seventeen of those for violating a traffic control or signal device) as well as two traffic arrests. No drivers stopped were found without a seatbelt, and we thank the motoring public for always wearing your seatbelt.
